Cobalt Fault Lines explores the quiet strength we carry beneath the surface and the unseen experiences that shape who we become.

Built through layers of texture and acrylic paint, this piece reveals glimpses of vibrant cobalt blue emerging through fields of warm magenta. Rather than hiding what came before, I intentionally carved back into the surface, allowing each layer to tell part of the story. Like fault lines formed over time, these marks speak to the beauty that can emerge through pressure, change, and transformation.

The bold contrast between the warmth of magenta and the striking cobalt blue reflects the balance between calm and disruption, resilience and vulnerability. As light catches the metallic accents, the painting shifts throughout the day, revealing new depth and subtle moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

My hope is that Cobalt Fault Lines reminds us that even our deepest fractures can become places where strength, beauty, and light find their way through.
