Between Sea & Sky explores the quiet space where two elements seem to meet—the expansive blue of the sky and the soft, shifting tones of the horizon. Layers of blue, blush, lavender, and textured marks create a sense of atmosphere, movement, and stillness at once.

I built this piece through expressive layers of acrylic and house paint, allowing each layer to partially reveal what came before it. The result is a richly textured surface that feels both familiar and dreamlike.

Rather than depicting a literal landscape, Between Sea & Sky captures the feeling of standing at the edge of something unknown—the pause between where we are and where we’re going. The horizon becomes a place of possibility, reflection, and quiet anticipation.
